I have visited a few of your events, and this is generally what I have mentioned:
"Great job and good accountability guys !!
Please remember to post a blog about your events and a team reflection of your learning journey.
1. What did you do ?
2. Where would you consider you've been innovative in the mounting of this event ?
3. What were some major learning points ? Major take-aways ?
4. How would you have done this differently if you were to do it again ?"
So!! Come on, come on start blogging !!!

Event update
Hey, this is Kendrick here.

So here was just a preview of what happened that day...
Our team helped run an event for Bethel Student Care on the 21 of dec, monday. Xiantian and Yilin started first with ice-breakers and games to help us get to know the kids better.
Following that, I told the story of "A Christmas Carol". The aim was to let the children know that one should not be selfish and be more caring towards others. I later introduced the organisation "Club Rainbow" to the kids and the main purpose of that day's event.
Lifen took over with the making of the cards for the children at Club Rainbow. After that, we had a photo taking with the kids and the cards to remember the fun time we all had that day. And also being in the Christmas spirit of sharing, we gave out little gifts to the children as a way to thank them for their actively and enthusiastic participation.
The next day, our group headed down to Club Rainbow to hand over the cards made by the children at the Student Care.

Our group K.L.X.Y., has FINALLY mounted our event on the 21 of December at the Bethel Student Care. It was a long, tiring but yet fun day of all of us.
Yilin and Xintian will posting up the pictures we took with the kids that day at the centre but here are just some pictures of Lifen and myself getting the presents and art material for the kids the day before.

Although it was hard work, Christmas this year for me sure is a meaningful one.

Hi this is Lynette from Boom Boom Paw :D
We have communicated with The Oasis and Zenxin, our sponsor for our event. We met with some difficulties but it has been solved and now we have to ensure our event goes smoothly on that very day! There will be lots of logistics to do before the event too.
Our event will be at The Oasis which is located inside Clementi Primary school. Our objective is to promote a healthy lifestyle to the kids and introduce more vegetables and fruits to their diets.
We will be having ILOVEVEG@The Oasis and we will teach them how to make a bento consisting a vegetable salad and some fruits.
So hopefully, after the event, they will soon become like popeye
haha just kidding.

Good luck to everyone on their upcoming common test and event!

DJ's One Night Concert
Desmond li here, representing my group to talk about our event. This is our first post as this concert is not that easy to plan as we expect it to be. Anyway, there are lots problem that surfaced during our planning. For example, a perfect date, rehearsal, time, clashes, venue, sponsorship and so on. However, during this period of time we tried our best to overcome this problems and we are halfway there. NEVER SAY DIE SPIRIT!! HAHAHA!....
so it confirmed: Concert night with lots of performances:
1) Local(known) bands which we are in the process of confirmation (jamming)
2) Singing
3) Unplugged
4) Dancing
and more will be coming up!!!
So i hope everyone can support us!
Date: 12 jan 2010
Venue: LT 26
As we need to incur some expenses, admission fee have to be collected at low rate. So dun worry. 2 to 4 dollar should be affordable for such a enjoyable concert!
Moving on, there are some more important issue to be confirmed.
We are thinking of lucky draws, goodies bag, refreshments and so on. If we are able to apply sponsorship, all these should not be a problem then. We are also thinking of a proper theme so we can make this concert recognize by various organisation.
Hope that all these planning produce a positive results. To prevent hiccups on the actual performance date, we also plan a rehearsal date to make sure things run smoothly. Contingency planning are important too and we are trying our best to make this event a success.
For now, that all the updates. bye!

Contingency
To add on to what Yilin had posted earlier...
I would say that our project is not carried out smoothly because many things happened unexpectedly. For instance, we had decided to change the motive of our event at the very last minute. However, on a happier note, we think that our event is more meaningful than the previous one. So, we had decided to get the children at Bethel Student Care to make Christmas, not for themselves or their families, but for children who are even less fortunate than them. To do so, we have to start finding local charity organisations or hospitals which are willing to accept our cards for their children. However, no organisations and hospitals are willing to accept because they think that this isn't a feasible idea as we would not be interacting with the children there. We proposed solution like spending a day doing voluntary work at the charity organisation. At the end of the day, the handmade cards will be passed over to the less fortunate children as reminiscence. One of the charity organisations, Club Rainbow, is keen in our event. However, their children would not be around at the centre during the dates of our event. Once again, our solution failed. To overcome this, we revised our proposal to Club Rainbow. We mentioned that we are willing to continue supporting them despite the issue of the children not available for our event. We proposed a new idea of sending the photos of our event together with the cards. The advantage of this is the childen at Club Rainbow will be aware that we are doing this for them at this special season although we cannot be there physically. And, Club Rainbow accepted our proposal! :D

K.L.X.Y. Project Progress
Hi ppl, I'm Yilin. I'm here to update our project progress again. Of course, I'm here to bring the good news.
After all the calls and emails to more than 8-10 organizations and hospitals, our group has finally gotten an approval from Club Rainbow to accept the Christmas cards from the Bethel children. =)
Club Rainbow is established in 1992 to help children suffering from a range of chronic and life-threatening illness. This charity is currently helping more than 470 children and families.
For now, we have proceeded to sponsorship from Singapore Children Society to fund us for this meaningful event. Hope we will receive a good news from them as well!

SuperFantastic: Meeting the Principal of the Kindergarden
Hello Everyone I’m Chunyan from SuperFantastic!
We have changed our plan by bringing the kindergarten kids to Yakult factory! Why we changed our plan? Because due to the H1N1 flu, Vitagen have stop all visiting to their factory. (:
On Monday, we made an appointment with the principal of the kindergarten at 11am. When we reached, we were told by their staff that the principal was out for a meeting. We called the principal and she told us she forgotten about the appointment with us and is having a meeting outside and said she will be back in 30mins time. While waiting for her to arrive, we were listening to music and watching movie.
After one hour passed, the principal is still not here yet, the laptop battery went flat, we started to play BINGO and Hangman using a piece of paper. We had lot of fun playing while waiting.
Two hours has passed and the principal is still not here yet. All of us are tired and hungry so we decided to give the principal a call again. She told us the meeting has not end and suggest that we meet her the next day.
Thus on Tuesday, we went back again and discuss our proposal to her and she agreed that she will help us! Our confirmed date of event would be on 25 January 2010! Yea~ (:
