Remember the $5 each of you gave on the very 1st lesson?
Well, for yesterday’s event, there were a total of 10 people who were late or didn’t come.
Hence, we got a sum of $50.
I had given $8 to Max for the expenses of our activities at WCP.
Another $10 was given to Team 1 as they were the winning team.
Thus, there’s a balance of $32 and it will be refunded back to all the 10 people.
So get your $3.20 from me on Monday.

Hi, dear Mr Max, my group member Creators, and all the friends, Im XiaoYu. Haha I don’t mind to tell you that Im 20 years old because I looks so young right ^_^
I choose this class because firstly the timetable is fantastic for me…I want to force myself not sleep so longe. Haha yes I always sleep too long. Secondly I choose it alone..that means I leaved all my familiar friends and began a really fresh start. That need a little courage to leave a safe area I think, but I really enjoy fresh and new => So im very happy to know all your guys..so many fresh and lovely faces!!
Im passion about drawing and I like to design. Im really proud of I made a lot of amazing works in my last semester IS ..exploring art and design =p I really enjoied it. And I also confident that I will enjoy this sem’s IS toooo….haha.. another thing im passion about is community services..i have to go back hometown in every holidy. But I was very happy that I got a chance to go batam for a short community service in one holiday.. haha here I show you one of my picture.. yes! I draw the background(a big rabbit) myself!! Passion?

A passion for something is very similar to a love for something. However, I find it very hard to choose what I’m really passionate about. There are so many things in life that I love and desire for. If I would have to choose one area of passion, hmm…PASSION ABOUT SUCCESS. Does it sound greedy? I hope that no matter what I do now and in the near future, it will turn out to be successful. A passion for success will allow me to work towards my goals and dreams in life, pushing myself harder and eventually reaching the goals.

So... what i hope to achieve from this module?

In my past experience, I had done projects like business management which is quite similar to managing business or an event. In those modules, we hardly had chances of setting up the real event and what we usually do is to plan and prepare a written proposal. Therefore, I hope that by the end of this module, we really get the hands-on experience on planning a ‘real’ event all by ourselves. I would also like to understand how whole event are being set-up, the process of forming up teams, storming and performing. I will also want to pick up new skills and knowledge from peers and facilitator through this whole module.

Okay,currently.I am in Accountancy and i have to say i really learnt alot while studying in NgeeAnn and i hope to continue learning more and improving myself,in this module as well.About myself??Im not an extraordinary girl, neither am i ordinary.Haha.I am a responsible teammate and i will always be there for my team so no worries,teammates!I do take time to open up to people.

I enjoy doing community services and i hope to reach out to those elderly abandoned by their children.I also like trying out different sports.

What would i like to learn during this module?Time management is one because im not very good at it.Lessons that i can learnt which would help me during my internship perhaps and i hope to have a meaningful time.

A note from me to you (:

Hello everyone! I’m Amanda, currently 20 years old (still young!) and I’m in the course of Accountancy. I’m a very emotional person. I can get angry easily, I can cry easily and thus my mood is always up and down. I get agitated when things don’t go my way. I got many other bad points but am constantly trying to improve myself to be a better person. I’m a very organized person and I hate being messy. I use to be able to manage my time very well, but as time passes, it seems like its getting worst! Time is like never enough for me…

My life now is like 30% studies, 30% work & 10% going online & 30% family & boyfriend. (:
I never had enough time for myself. But it’s alright. I like being busy.

Recently my determination for studies was lost and till now it was not yet back. I wish I could really put my heart to my studies but it seems kind of hard. Nevertheless, I will try my very best to work hard for this current semester!

I love working as the money motivates me! In life, without money really cannot survive. I love working too as it gives me a sense of satisfaction and happiness whenever my Boss praise me. I aim to do well in work and constantly improving myself to do better.

I love going online and read blogs. Reading blogs is a way to catch up with my friend’s recent life. I want to know how they are doing so that I will not lose contact with their life. I love to see blogshops too and it’s really a killer for me. With just a few clicks, and money will be gone.

My boyfriend’s currently in NS and the only time I get to see him is on weekends. So weekends, will only be filled with working and him. Definitely no studies at all! Hence, I got to try to finish my work on weekdays. :(

I used to expect a lot in life. But as time passes I know that I got to relax and not be so tense up in life. Be it good or bad, life still goes on. Thus, I had lesser expectation of myself (don’t know good or bad!).

What does area of passion means? Does going online and surf the net counts? Anyhow, I just want to spend my time with all my precious love ones. (: so passion doesn’t matter much to me. (:

I wish to gain precious experience from this module. I believe event management is not easy as it seems. We need to learn from scratch and slowly, day by day, gain more knowledge and apply it to our life.

Well, I guess I’m talking more about my life rather than any other thing! I hope this is fine and I did not go out of point!

Hello everyone! I am Xiu Ling. Firstly, let me give you a brief introduction about myself. I am currently 21 years of age and pursuing my diploma in accountancy. I started poly only in my twenties because I'd to go through ITE (Institution of Technical Education) first before entering. To all my peers around me, entering into poly was not as tough as compared to the ITE students. Because very limited places are being offered to us every year and making it through was very competitive.

To me, I dislike irresponsible people. When it comes to team work, I believe everyone has a significant part to play and by this everyone has to contribute to keep things going.

Speaking about my passion, I would love to say I have a passion for babies & little kids.! It sounds very contradicting being in an accountancy course but loving contents of an early childhood course. And this is because I wanna earn big bucks in future you see..haha so I decided to choose a course with higher prospects. Casting this aside, my passion for kids is absolutely great. I love to talk to them, play with them or even taking care of them. I was clueless when it comes to kids when I was much younger, but as time goes by..I pick up majority of skills from my sister on how to deal with babies and toddlers as she is a mother of two. (:

I took up a part time job as an event facilitator during my school holidays. Thus, this module will be beneficial to me. However, with no experience on hand I was only allowed to get in touch with minor issues. I hope I can achieve a better understanding on how an event is being mount and plan from scratch, the on going process and the key factors on an event. This will allow me to better understand the work flow of an event facilitator.

Helloooooooo...

To start everything right, let me first introduce myself. I am Denise and I love handling with numbers. It gives me a sense of achievement each time I am able balance financial statements and this is reason why I am in Accountancy.

I would say that I am someone who is organised and determined. I need to plan my things that I have to accomplish beforehand and last minute work is definitely a big no-no for me. Every task assigned to me, I give my 100% because I know that even though the outcome may not be favourable but it creates a learning journey for me. As deep down I know I have no regrets because I have tried.

On a lighter note, no one is perfect and I have my own weaknesses as well. I am bad at languages as I was constantly day dreaming when I was in Primary School, thus I do not have a solid basic foundation in my languages. Nevertheless, I told myself that I would improve as I mingle with my friends who excel in their languages.

In this paradise of shopping, I must admit that I am a spendthrift. I would feel really exhilarated when I spend money and buy what I want. Oh my god! I must be someone mad but I believe that shop owners will be happy to have me as a customer.

I have a passion for dogs. I hate to see articles about dog abuse. If I could, I would wish to save all dogs in the world. Provide them with love, care and a home. I have a pet dog, Cookie Tan, at home. He became an official member of my family when my sister brought him home. Since then, he remains my faithful friend, always there to accompany me through my busy school routine. While I pick up knowledge from school, cookie taught me emotions in life that perhaps others may never experience.

I hope everybody STOP ANIMAL ABUSE in every way! For example, do not buy clothes or carpets made from animal fur/parts or even have their meat as delicacy. Thank you! (:

What would I want to achieve in this module? I feel that event management is to be able to plan, direct and then evaluate. There are many events around us each day. Usually, a successful event is one that is able to cater to customers wants, attract their attention, and ensure that their satisfaction are met. What is important is the progress whereby different people come together and work together to achieve this common goal. Therefore, I would want to learn what are the contributing factors to getting an event go smoothly. This is when I am ready to learn from my mentor, peers, and mistakes.

Lesson 1 of I&E in Action

An introduction of what I&E in Action as a module was supposed to achieve was being given to the students. Students were being taught the rationale of why I&E. A few ice-breaker games were being played and students formed themselves into teams of 3s and 4s.

Next week the teams will be competing against one another to see how they may perform in an outdoor environment.
